Elizabeth's body has varied in size and shape over the years but at one point the glamour girls waist measured a very enviable 21 inches.
She once stated “In those days few women worked out on a regular basis so I had no exercise program to keep me in shape. I adored horseback riding and I always enjoyed swimming and walking.”
In preparation for National Velvet Elizabeth was put on a high protein diet and was put into a strict regime of swimming, horse riding and various other exercises, as a result she grew many inches in height during the few weeks she did it.
